Write about small topics

The biggest mistake novice writers make is trying to fit too many ideas into a single article.

They try to share everything they know about the subject, which makes them feel entirely overwhelmed. Topics like "Everything you need to know about [x]" or "The ultimate guide to [y]" are a recipe for writer's block.

The solution - narrow things down.

Focus on the smallest idea you can find.

Write a post about a single, uncomfortably small, clearly defined idea. You will notice that it will inevitably expand as you write, the vast majority of your ideas about the topic to come after you start writing.

Once you have built a library of small, atomic posts, you can assemble longer form articles (or even books, courses, and info products) out of them.
